Clean Fresh Spaces allows us to help others using the knowledge and experience gained in the cleaning industry and relate what has evolved into our study of Building Biology highlighting how the environment we live and work in is affecting our health and wellbeing.
There is an ever-expanding field of medical research that shows direct correlation between many illnesses that cannot be explained by modern medicine and the environments that we live and work in every day.
While our knowledge in this area is growing our relationships with Building Biologists allows us to assist our clients to gain a clearer understanding of the environment they live and work in each day, where the unseen dangers that are not obvious lie, and how they can mitigate them to protect their health.
Understanding the risks in our Environment
Mould’s relationship to Water Damaged Buildings
You can’t always smell mould and a lot of the time you can’t even see it, yet if the right conditions are created to allow it to thrive then the ensuing health effects can have devastating consequences.
Respiratory issues such as asthma, cold and flu-like symptoms, hayfever and bronchitis are some of the adverse health effects associated with mould.
Without realising it, our modern way of life can expose us to toxic chemicals in our environment.
* Off-gassing from manufactured ‘faux timber’ furniture rather than hardwoods
* Glues used to hold furniture together and
* Imported fabrics sprayed with pesticides/insecticides and covered in scotchguard/stain repellents.
These are all introducing toxic chemicals in the form of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) into the air we breathe further burdening and overloading our system with toxins.
